As the Good Samaritan helped the injured man, when the man couldn't help himself and no one else wanted to help him, nurses in the same way help those in need, those that can't help themselves and those that society doesn't want to help. I chose nursing because I have received much in my life, physically, socially, and mentally, but have never been able to truly give back before my career in nursing. Nursing is a way I can contribute to and help better society.
