- Personal Reflection:
- This class was a very different, but great experience for me. It helped me to more fully develop my time management skill, as well as practice my assessment skills. This class as well helped me to practice patient teaching. I was also able to become more knowledgeable in the care of the mother and infant. This class as well helped me to start developing independence from my nursing instructor and taking more responsibility in the care of my patients.

- In this course I had the opportunity to:
- Use critical thinking skills when applying the nursing process in meeting the comprehensive health care needs of children and families.
- Implement therapeutic nursing interventions that facilitate children and families in attaining, maintaining, and regaining health.

- NURS30040 Nursing of Adults with Rehabilitation Needs and Gerontological Changes
- In this course I had the opportunity to:
- Develop a knowledge base related to the psychophysiological changes in older adults and those undergoing rehabilitation.
- Identify changes, consequences, and nursing care related to aging and rehabilitation for individuals and families in a variety of settings.
- Identify community resources and interdisciplinary team members necessary and available to adults and families who are dealing with the effects of aging and/or rehabilitation.
- Apply the nursing process, including necessary technology and medication administration, in caring for adults and families affected by the major chronic diseases.
- Utilize a variety of nursing sources to substantiate the basis of care.
- Incorporate elements of the role of the professional nurse in the provision of culturally competent nursing care for older adults and those undergoing rehabilitation.

- This course was a good experience. I was able to experience taking care of two patients and charting at the same time, which was a helpful experience. This course also showed me how chronic changes in the body due to diseases and aging can affect the care of the client, which helped me in understanding which care to provide to the patient and why.
